BARCELONA, SPAIN – A self-proclaimed online animal rights activist from Barcelona, has put a Fennec Fox on vegan diet. And now she’s receiving enormous love online.
Sonia Sae, a vegan blogger and youtuber form Barcelona, is kind of famous online, as an animal rights activist advocating veganism and vegan life. in 2014, she rescued a Fennec Fox from a breeder, and named him ‘Jumanji’, and he’s been living with her since, with a perfect vegan diet.
That however, didn’t go well with a lot of her own animal rights advocacy comrades. Fennec foxes are generally carnivorous, they eat pretty much everything from little insects to small animals, animal and bird eggs. But it also often eat fruits and plants.
As you can see, the fox is in perfect lean shape from the vegan diet. Some would say it’s rather skinny, well, quite skinny, but that’s the point of a vegan diet. Staying in shape and not harming other living creatures. But as usual, she’s being bombarded with so called ‘animal experts’ opinions from other animal rights activists. They claim, the fox is slowly being killed from an unusual diet which isn’t suited for a generally carnivore creature. And the thinness is the result from that abuse. However, Sonia claims it’s due to some pollen allergy.
Thank you for being concerned about his health on this subject. He is in good shape, his blood tests are fine, he’s healthy, playful and hasn’t shown any signs of malnutrition for around 3 years.
Although the protesters do have a point, unlike humans, animals of different kingdoms have specific diets. Since Fennec Foxes also eat fruits and plants occasionally, a vegan diet with proper nutrition could be plausible.
Well, while people keep complaining, Sonia seems to be rather happy with her exotic pet. Her vegan diet for Jumanji contains some fibres and mixture of Cat food. Scientists in African safaris are developing special brownies based on her fox recipe, for lions since the Wildebeests seem to be rather lazy these days, they just stopped running.
